Sheri Bare, Sculptor, Designer
Shari Bare is a lifelong designer and sculptor whose creative journey has evolved from interior spaces to the intimate, hands-on world of clay. After four decades in interior design, she discovered a deep connection with ceramics—drawn to the tactile nature of the medium and the quiet storytelling it allows. In her home studio, Shari brings animals and organic forms to life, blending elegance and playfulness into every handcrafted piece.
Though based in Lancaster County, her artistic perspective is shaped by travel and tradition—most notably a formative workshop in Lazenby, England with a master potter. Her process combines wheel throwing, pinching, and hand building, finished with subtle layers of slip, underglaze, and her signature burnished beeswax patina.
At the heart of Shari’s work is a tribute to Koko, a beloved dog whose short life and deep bond inspired her journey with clay. His memory lives on in the warmth, vulnerability, and spirit of every creature she creates.
