The Lewes Polar Bear Plunge is one of the most iconic winter fundraisers in the region — a bold tradition where participants jump into the chilly Atlantic Ocean to raise money for Special Olympics Delaware and support thousands of athletes across the state. This year’s event is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2026 in Rehoboth Beach, bringing together plungers, volunteers, and spectators for community celebration, fundraising, and fun by the sea.
