Explore Delaware’s history—one stitch at a time.
Winterthur textile curator Matthew Monk comes to the Rehoboth Beach Museum for an illuminating look at Delaware needlework as a record of family, place and artistic tradition.
The program will explore historic samplers in the Winterthur collection, including pieces created by students in early Lewes and works connected to Delaware Bay pilot families. Together, they reveal how young makers documented their communities through pattern, lettering and carefully placed stitches.
Ready to ReHo™ Pick: The combination of textile craftsmanship, design history and a specific coastal connection makes this a particularly thoughtful way to experience Delaware’s creative heritage.
Admission is free; advance registration is required.
