The familiar landscapes and wildlife of coastal Delaware take on new meaning when viewed through the perspective of a thoughtful photographer.
The Delaware Beach Life Photography Contest Exhibition showcases winning images from the magazine’s annual competition for amateur photographers. Every entry begins with a coastal theme, but the exhibition reveals just how many different stories can emerge from the same shoreline.
The contest includes three categories: wildlife photographed in its natural habitat, scenic images that capture the atmosphere of the coast, and black-and-white photography offering a more graphic or contemplative interpretation of coastal life.
Selected for creativity, originality and technical proficiency, the winning photographs celebrate details that are easily missed—the changing quality of light across the marsh, the movement of shorebirds, shifting weather and the quiet visual rhythms of the Delaware coast.
Presented inside the Rehoboth Beach Museum, the exhibition creates a natural connection between contemporary photography, regional identity and the museum’s mission to preserve the evolving story of Rehoboth Beach.
The exhibition is located on the museum’s second floor and remains on view through December 20. Visitors should consult the museum’s website before traveling for seasonal or holiday schedule changes.
