Step back into the critical autumn of 1776 as Historic Lewes brings the waterfront community’s struggles, resilience, and harvest traditions to life. Costumed interpreters, soldiers, craftspeople, musicians, and historically inspired vendors will fill the Historic Lewes Town Campus with the sights and sounds of a community facing the uncertainty of the American Revolution.
Weekend highlights include working trades and blacksmith demonstrations, live music, a kid-centered Punch and Judy puppet show, the optical wonders of the Camera Obscura, a high-flying hot-air balloon, and period-inspired food and drink. Hours are Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $10; children 12 and under are free. Proceeds support Historic Lewes.
